New Jersey State Board Prometric Practice Exam

When faced with a difficult question during the exam, it is advisable for the student to skip it and return if time allows. This approach allows the student to manage their time effectively and not get bogged down by a single challenging question. By moving on to other questions, the student can maximize their chances of answering the remaining questions correctly, which may ultimately boost their overall score.

This strategy enables a more balanced assessment of the exam since the student can revisit the difficult question later with a fresh perspective after completing the easier questions. Time management is crucial during exams, and this approach minimizes stress and anxiety that can arise from fixating on a particular question that may not yield an immediate answer.

In contrast, spending too much time on a single question can lead to missing out on answering others, which could be easier and more fruitful. Guessing without thinking does not provide a strategic advantage, while ignoring the question entirely could mean losing out on potential points if revisiting is not possible due to time constraints.
